Glass Lonomer

Glass Ionomer fillings are created with acrylic and fluoroaluminosilicate, a glass component, for strength. They are mostly utilised for teeth with significant decay below the gumline, including baby teeth.

1. Numbing the area

Fluoride Treatment For Your Child

For child who is under 3 years old, they should only brush their teeth under close supervision.
Apply only a thin layer of fluoride toothpaste to their toothbrush and the toothpaste should cover no more than a smear or rice-sized amount.

For children aged 3–6, use a pea-sized amount of fluoride toothpaste.

Topical Fluoride exposure to children, including toothpaste type, brushing frequency, technique of brush-spit-no rinse and regular fluoride application has to be customised, after assessment of each child's caries risk.
