After gaining First Class Bachelor’s of Dental Surgery (BDS) qualification from Penang International Dental College (PIDC) in 2011, Dr. Kuok Yew Jhin went on to serve in the public sector for two and a half years. 

During this time he was exposed to different specialities including oral surgery, paediatric dentistry, periodontics and orthodontics. 

Dr Kuok has a special interest in Periodontics and joined Encia Dental Specialist in 2014 under the mentorship of Dr. Jeanette Chua. 

This exposure has allowed him to develop a firm grasp on the diagnosis of periodontal disease and co-treatment planning for complex dental cases. 

He went on to successfully gain his Membership in the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS RCSEd) from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2016.

He was the President of the PIDC alumni for two years and served as the organising chairman for the 1st PIDC Alumni Dental Conference in 2013. 

Dr. Kuok has been accepted at the prestigious UCL Eastman Dental Institute, London and will be pursuing his Master’s programme in Periodontology from September 2017.
